C# has been used to write virtual worlds. I've used VB to write a complete medical office application, including inventory and accounting.

Yes, there is lots out there. Just google it. Oh and be sure you specify which kind you want because there are few differences between film and theatrical eg. Camera directions vs. Stage directions, "cut to:" is not in theatrical scripts. Good luck in your endeavors and happy writing!

Java/j#(same thing just uses visual studio as an IDE) was developed by sun Microsystems c# is basically just Microsoft's rip off of the language. They are both object oriented languages and if you learn one you will still be able to do the other really easily. Only real differences are C# is Microsoft and uses .NET environment java not microsoft and uses java runtime environment.

"Agile" refers to a group of methodologies. You’d have to review a few of them and choose the one that best suits you, your company, your co-workers and the assignment. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agile_software_development

In general, Agile methods are used to help deal with a few of the more common problems with design-first methods (waterfall). In particular, customers are notorious for frequently changing their requirements. This can often render your careful design completely useless or at least badly flawed, assuming you’re using Waterfall or a similar development methodology. If you were using Agile, you might find that this causes a lesser disruption because you don’t need to throw out your design, just your first attempt at the changed feature.

Most agile methods also have a heavy focus on teamwork and fulfilling your obligations to the rest of the team.

What are the practical applications for programming languages such as C# Visual Basic and J#(Java)?
I’m going to start college in August, I’m going for programming, it’s something I have enjoyed messing around with, but I want to get more in depth with it. So before I choose a language to dive into I want to know what are the practical applications of each language. What is it most commonly used for. I know there are a wide range of uses for any major programming language, but if you enlighten me on them I would appreciate it.
